What can I expect on my first visit?
The first session lasts 1 to 1 1/2 hours. We will begin our session by reviewing your health concerns, your family’s health history, and any previous care you may have had (chiropractic, osteopathic, acupuncture, physical therapy, medical, etc.). Important in our conversation is the discussion of symptomatic relief versus holistic health care, as well as clarifying your goals and expectations.
I will then do a physical examination which may incorporate orthopedic and neurological tests in addition to the chiropractic exam, which includes a careful analysis to detect any structural imbalances which may be related to your condition. I will observe your posture, how you walk, sit and stand, and then proceed with an Applied Kinesiology exam using muscle testing in order to reveal areas of imbalance. I do a complete scan of every organ, gland, and system in your body to look for any weaknesses, dysfunctions, deficiencies, infections, allergies/sensitivities, or levels of toxicity that you may be dealing with.
If it seems necessary, you may need to obtain x-rays and/or laboratory analyses.
Your first visit will include a treatment as well. This includes chiropractic adjustments incorporating applied kinesiology techniques, and may also include discussion about diet and lifestyle, and the addition of supplements to aid you in reaching your goals.
